Nevada Foundation for Recovery is more than a treatment referral service - it is a statewide movement connecting people in recovery across urban, rural, and frontier communities.
Skip Story
After serving in Vietnam, Skip struggled with PTSD and addiction. Now in recovery for 35 years, he works to help veterans with PTSD and VA benefits and has trained peer recovery support specialists across Nevada. His story represents thousands of Nevadans who have found their way back.
Peer Support That Works
One-on-one peer support helps people achieve their recovery goals. Working with your own peer support specialist, you can create a recovery plan tailored to your needs. This is not clinical treatment - it is lived experience helping others.
Beyond Meetings
The Foundation offers sober social activities, workshops, and training. They provide overdose rescue kits and train families to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses. Their publication, The Recovery Current, keeps Nevada recovery community connected.
